Traxxas, whose company motto is “the fastest name in radio control,” is a leader in the RC Nitro car industry. Started in 1986, the company had an innovative idea for the industry. They wanted to produce fully assembled RC cars. Rather than wasting time putting it together and painting it, customers could enjoy it right out of the box. It would even come with a paint job. We can all thank Traxxas for the now well worn term, “ready-to-run.” It took some time, but the idea took off with the public and now most companies offer ready-to-run models. Traxxas not only changed the industry, but they offer a wide array of quality RC Nitro car products.
Traxxas offers many models which have won championships. Some of the top models offered by the company include the Cat, Hawk, and Radiator. Other models include TRX-1, Blue Eagle, SRT, and TCP. The company also started producing boats in 1989. One successful model was the Villain IV. Another was the Nitro Vee. Later, the company began making gas models in addition to their electric stock. With the first RTR gas truck, the Nitro Hawk introduced in 1992, the company made even more changes to the industry.
The next model which the company presented to the world was 1999’s T-Maxx. It was the first RC Nitro car with a forward/reverse transmission. It also featured the TQ3 radio system. With eight shocks and plenty of suspension, this model was another show of innovation from the company. Not only have they innovated many of the features we see today on RC Nitro cars, they still offer quality vehicles. This brand is now the number one selling brand for RC Nitro cars in the world.
