The nitro rustler from traxxas is a classic. The easy start system is very good and the 2.5 engine is pretty nippy.
Hpi have started shipping their 'nitro bullet ST' which is a great car if you buy the CVJ upgades, which should cost another $60.
If you could be temped to get a 1/8th buggy, the hyper seven is a tried and tested classic. Well built and quick.

I would suggest looking into these two companies. Traxxas or HPI racing these are two very know companies and probably the best.

it`s really fun to drive, it,s really fast to, but it`s going broke even if you are very carefull, the distance of the remote control it`s very short so you have to buy a failsafe or it will end up like mine against a wall jejejje. and don`t take it to an off road r/c track it`s not made for jumping either.

If you want a SUV for snow and rain and being on the road 99% of the time than the Nitro fits the bill, but it sounds like you want to do some off roading. I would get a Jeep Wrangler, and now that you can get the 4 door unlimited, then space is no longer an issue.

I'm not impressed with them, myself, and I'm a Mopar nut. Very cramped interior, which is inexcusable for a vehicle it's size. And it appears that everything inside is made of tupperware.
And don't even THINK about 4 wheeling in a crossover vehicle. The Nitro, and other crossovers are built on CAR chassis. They are really little more than tall cars with extra ground clearance. You might as well take a Camry out on the trail.
Take the money you've started saving, and spend it on a Ramcharger. NO WAIT, DON'T STOP READING YET! Then, instead of adding to the savings account, buy parts to upgrade your truck. Don't worry if you're not an ASE certified mechanic. You will learn as you go, It's not as difficult as you'd think. Anything you need to know is on the internet, if you do your homework, and there are people who have been there who WILL help.
Anyway, the Ramcharger would be alot more useful trail truck, and it would be a good project to keep you off the streets (you crazy kid.) Not to mention how much better you would feel about having a truck that you put YOUR OWN sweat into to bring it to life. Check out:

New 4WD systems (especially on small "SUVs") are "smart" aka really just a poorly designed AWD which is no good for wheeling. And as for how long it will last, it's a Dodge. Not as long as it should.

Well for $100-$200 Buks you won't get anything Fancy ..

Look on Ebay if you want it cheap but if you are looking for a nitro car look for the scale around 1/10 is the best. look for a top speed and always ask for pictures or if has any problems.

Really for $100-$200 you won't get much .
If you have a car in mind just ask down at the local hobby shop and they should tell you but it's not hard to find what your looking for....

Good brands are Traxxis and check this website out http://www.rcpulse.com/ don't know how good it is but it got reccomended to me so yea ok well good luck.

You buy nitro Fuel at the hobby shop for about $15 a litre.
But you will also need to buy a starter kit which will have a glow plug, igniter, fuels holder, tools for you car and sometimes it has fuel in it soo...
